Friends of Sailing

Support for the Friends of Sailing has helped build Dartmouth's team into a nationally-ranked program. Friends funding provides the bedrock for our two annual training trips, on which students have almost no out-of-pocket costs. These training trips provide critical on the water time, and help offset the challenge our northern climate presents as we prepare for championship season in April and May. Friends support also helps provide essential equipment and assistant coaching compensation.

Friends resources impact two distinct areas: the ability to bring every team member on our Winter and Spring Training Trips, and the ability to put every athlete in their own hotel bed for regular and post-season competition, and support more competitive opportunities for the increased roster. Now with a brand-new boathouse that is among the best in the country, the Dartmouth Sailing program is well-positioned for even greater success!
